Henry’s Books Author Policy
Henry’s Books is proud to support local authors in the area of the Black Hills. To have your book considered for placement on our shelves, it must be distributed by Ingram Book Group, the nation's largest wholesale distributor and our primary vendor for filling customer orders. When your book is available via Ingram, indie bookstores like ours can sell it on their websites and, if they choose to do so, from their physical stores.
We occasionally work with individual publishers–if you are represented by a publisher we’d be happy to chat with them if that is your primary route of sales (see below).
If your book is already available via Ingram at a regular discount (REG) and fully returnable, please submit your information here to have your book considered for placement at Henry’s Books. If we feel that your book will be of interest to our customers, we will order it from Ingram.
If your book has already been published by a press other than IngramSpark, you or your press can contact Ingram (via IngramSpark) to ensure your book is in the Ingram database correctly. IngramSpark can log into your account and adjust price and returnability at any time.

We OCCASIONALLY will purchase books directly from authors or publishers under special circumstances. Please submit your information here if you’d like us to consider your book for placement. We will only reach out if we’re interested in reaching an arrangement with you.
